Is Getting Help With Website Content Worth It?

I have a website almost ready, but I still need to finish all the words for each page. I came across pay someone to write website content while searching online. I am not sure if it is a good idea or not. Has anyone here tried this before? Was the content useful, or did you wish you had written it yourself? Please share your experience.
